CSKT Tribal Court Improvement Program Assessment Survey

Category:

The Tribal Court Improvement Program (TCIP) is completing a comprehensive assessment and formal report of how the Tribal Court handles child welfare proceedings. One of the key elements in the assessment is a community survey, which constitutes a vital component of the internal data collection process for each department, agency, and program involved in this process.

Before introducing the community survey, TCIP and its consultants walked through the community survey process with the Salish Kootenai College (SKC) Internal Review Board (IRB), for human-participant-related research. We have also completed the process with the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) Research Review Board (RRB) which oversees and monitors all research occurring within the CSKT reservation borders and with CSKT Tribal citizens, including but not limited to natural resources, cultural intellectual property, and traditional knowledge. TCIP and its consultants have shown unwavering dedication in upholding the integrity of the Tribe’s policies, ensuring compliance every step of the way.
