Services
Who is eligible for loans?
Our services are available to enrolled tribal members who are our primary borrowers. For specific information on eligibility requirements, please visit page link here.
Can I finance an automobile?
Our loan products generally do NOT fund auto loans, as the program is not designed for such collateral. For specific information on consumer loans, please visit page link here.
If I have pledged my per capita toward my loan repayment, can I get any part of that released back to me?
Yes, if your loan is in good standing and you would like to restructure your payment methods, please contact us at (406) 275-2727 or email credit@cskt.org to get the process started. If the loan payments are in peril, we will work with you to try to find the best solution for your needs.
Why can I no longer refinance my short-term loan?
We have moved to new loan products designed to provide for your cash needs with terms that can be repaid without the need to refinance. Your loan may be shorter term for more frequent borrowing, but your debt load will remain manageable for improved personal credit. Therefore, the “refinance” is more of a pay-off of the previous loan and the issuance of a new loan.
Why do I need to get a denial from a bank before I can apply for a mortgage?
We have modified our procedures to mortgage lending in support of our mission statement. Our lending team is available to assess your plans to purchase a home or land. When your borrowing ability and favorable terms are identified through pre-qualification process, you can present that package to a conventional lender. If it is approved, we’ve helped you receive services from an open-market lender, which builds your growing credit worthiness for long-term wealth management. If the application is not approved, Tribal Credit will work toward assisting you with financing. This process supports Tribal Credit’s objective to bridge lending service gaps in our community as well as manage our revolving loan fund budget to serve the membership in the greatest capacity.
