Flags lowered for elder’s passing

Council has ordered that Tribal flags be lowered in honor of Angeline “Angie” Andrew who recently passed. Angie Andrew, 99, was often seen at cultural gatherings with her sisters. She often hosted family at her Camas Prairie home for events like birthday parties and Easter dinners. She had received honors for her knowledge and practice of the Salish language. Council sends its respects, prayers, love, and honor to Angie Andrew and her family. The rosary will be Friday, April 17, 2026 starting at 8 p.m. at the Longhouse in Mission. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Longhouse at 11 AM. Interment will be at the Curley Redcrow Cemetery in Camas Prairie.
