Research and data collection within the Flathead Indian Reservation
All research proposed to occur within the Flathead Indian Reservation must be reviewed by the CSKT Tribal Research Review Board (TRRB) in accordance with the Research Protection Ordinance 110-A.
If it involves Human-Participant related research (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.), it is required to undergo review by the Salish Kootenai College IRB in accordance with 45 Code of Federal Regulations 46.
CSKT has authority over the collection, ownership, storage, access, use, and transfer of CSKT-related data generated. The TRRB was established to ensure the protection and reduce any adverse effects of research and related activities on the Tribes and our Tribal Citizens.
