Flags at Half-staff in Honor of Bob Gauthier

(Pablo, MT) The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) will fly flags at half-staff through Thursday, February 20, 2025, in honor of Tribal Elder Bob Gauthier, who passed away on February 8, 2025. Bob was a dedicated leader and advocate for Tribal Housing, Economic Development, and Self-Determination. As Housing Director for the Salish & Kootenai Housing Authority, Chairman of the National Commission on American Indian Housing, and a key figure in the passage and implementation of the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act, his impact on Indian Country was profound. His leadership extended to founding and guiding organizations such as UNAHA, AMERIND Risk Management, Eagle Bank, and S&K Technologies. Bob’s contributions will be remembered for generations.
