Flathead Reservation Water Management Board

The Water Management Board is an independent board created by the Montana-CSKT-US Water Compact (MCA 85-20-1901) and the Unitary Administration and Management Ordinance (CSKT Ordinance No. 111-A or MCA 85-20-1902) to be the exclusive regulatory body for water rights administration on the Flathead Indian Reservation, including the issuance of new water rights and change applications.

As of 2/1/24, all of the active FRWMB Water Right forms went though an application fee update triggered by house bill 114 (we are required to follow the state-based filing fees which were updated at the start of the year).
